It works. Now make it real.

Something already exists — built fast, often AI-assisted, sometimes no-code or a hackathon build — and it's proven the idea works. Altamira takes over what you have and builds it into a system that can actually carry the business, on the same AI SDLC that reaches production 3–4x faster than starting over.

When this is the starting point

Something already works well enough to prove the idea — a founder, a small team, or an internal builder got it running fast.

There are no tests, no real architecture, and nobody's confident what happens if it's pushed harder.

It was built with AI tools, no-code/low-code, or in a hackathon sprint — speed was the point, not durability.

Security gaps that were fine for a demo aren't fine for real users or real data.

It's starting to buckle under early usage — the exact usage that proved the idea was worth building in the first place.

This is a different problem from a legacy system: the constraints here come from how fast it was built, not from how old it is. See Legacy Code Rewrite & Tech Debt if your starting point is an aging system instead of a recent fast build.

Why this offer

We start by auditing what exists, not replacing it on sight.

What's already working stays; what's fragile gets rebuilt properly. You don't lose the parts of the prototype that already prove the idea.

One team, one accountable delivery.

Altamira owns the hardening and rebuild end to end, on the same AI SDLC discipline as every other engagement — a named architect approves the plan, a named person accepts every finished piece.

Built to actually carry the business.

Tests, real architecture, and security that hold under real usage — not just enough to survive a demo.

Months, not years.

The same pipeline, the same gates, the same speed as a from-scratch build — proving the idea already happened; this is the part that makes it real.

Not Rapid Prototyping — the other direction

It's easy to confuse this with Rapid Prototyping, but they run in opposite directions:

Rapid Prototyping

is the on-ramp — nothing exists yet, or what exists isn't what's actually being validated. Altamira builds fast to test an idea before you commit to anything.

Prototype to Production

is the graduation point — something already exists, usually self-built, and it's already proven the idea works. Now it needs to become real.

If you're not sure which one you need: if you're asking "should we build this at all," that's Rapid Prototyping. If you're asking "this already works, how do we make it actually production-ready," that's this page.

Proven, not promised

Every engagement runs through the same AI SDLC gates as the rest of Altamira's work: a named architect approves the plan before build starts, an independent review checks every finished piece, and a named person signs off before anything ships. That discipline is what turns a prototype that happens to work into a system you can actually rely on — the same pipeline behind Altamira's 3–4x faster delivery and ~57% lower human effort elsewhere on this site.

Not the right fit if...

Nothing exists yet — no working code, no prototype to take over. That's Rapid Prototyping instead.

What you have is an aging system, not a recent fast build — the constraints are years of accumulated legacy decisions, not a few months of moving fast. That's Legacy Code Rewrite & Tech Debt instead.
